The soften neck garlic has been drying for a week The soften neck garlic has been drying for a week or so and today I cleaned and braided it. At $1.50 per bulb for organic garlic at the store, this should serve us well for a while. #garlic #organicgardening #urbanhomesteading #traditionalfoodpreservation
We were expecting a storm to bring our first real We were expecting a storm to bring our first real rain of the fall so I harvested a lot of tomatoes before they got drenched. Canning this weekend with some difficulties. Thank you @hilltop.hygge.homestead for your thoughtful advice and troubleshooting. Photos of the finished product coming soon!
My figs always start to look like this right when My figs always start to look like this right when the fruit is almost ripe. Is it fall setting in or are they overwatered or lacking some nutrients? I cut back on watering but the fruit needs moisture. @bennypin_garden Any tips?

Garden update! It’s never looked better. I like Garden update! It’s never looked better. I like things neat and tidy and this year the garden seems to be maintaining itself. The wood chips really cleaned up the floor and I finally found a trellising method that works every time. Summer is going by too fast but the plants are happy and that makes me feel calm and centered.
I was able to get nine dahlias I’m before the do I was able to get nine dahlias I’m before the downpour started again. Here’s three that will soften the entrance to the garden. My baby lavenders are so cute in front!
