Beautiful, delicious figs! I can’t believe I gre Beautiful, delicious figs! I can’t believe I grew these!
Well this is the sad extent of my fig harvest this Well this is the sad extent of my fig harvest this year. I’m still learning how to grow these little fruits in pots. I can’t seem to give them enough water without drowning them. We had a 117 degree heat wave at the beginning of the season which didn’t help matters. These four little morsels were pretty juicy and good but the skins tasted unripe still. Better luck next year I hope. Any tips?

Fresh, organic kale and blueberries from the garde Fresh, organic kale and blueberries from the garden tonight! One of our favorite salads. And a crisp bottle of rose from @knudsenvineyards
I was so worried we wouldn’t get any big, ripe h I was so worried we wouldn’t get any big, ripe heirlooms this year because it was so cold and wet this spring but I picked these yesterday and made a delicious caprese salad. The luxurious taste of summer!
What a busy weekend!! I harvested a lot of tomatoe What a busy weekend!! I harvested a lot of tomatoes before the rain and then had to get them preserved. This is over 28 pounds of heirloom tomatoes and tomatillos lovingly made into salsa verde, roasted tomato basil soup and chopped tomatoes. Gosh I’m tired!
